Dock Appointments & Yard

Connect arrival plans, trailer status, and door activity into an operational view.

Focused on the work

A focused module on the roadmap.

Planned

An appointment calendar alone cannot show whether the warehouse is ready to receive a trailer. The planned module would connect the arrival plan with observed status and door activity, helping teams see the handoff between yard and warehouse. It can support earlier conversations about missed slots, waiting trailers, and capacity conflicts.

Module direction

What it is designed to address.

  • Coordinate carrier and trailer appointments.
  • Track arrival and departure events.
  • Support door assignment and trailer-location visibility.
  • Surface dwell and detention-related exceptions.

Keep the boundary clear

A connected extension, not a replacement.

This is not a complete yard management system. Site rules, gate hardware, safety procedures, carrier participation, and integration scope must be assessed separately.

Confirm the integration

Review the WMS product and version, permitted interfaces, source records, refresh needs, and responsibilities. Agree whether this scope is read-only, includes recommendations, or returns approved changes. Do not assume direct database access or automatic write-back.

Agree how value is assessed

Name the process owner and the operational question. Establish a baseline and an acceptance method using representative data. Include exception handling and ongoing support in the conversation.

Roadmap concept: planned. Features, availability, sequence, and commercial terms are not committed. This page describes intended direction, not a product available to purchase today.
